Hoxton Circle has partnered with a return client to hire an Accounting Manager/Controller with strong cost accounting skills to assist in scaling the business to increased profitability. The role will oversee the accounting department and have a hand in hiring.

Duties;

• Lead and manager the full month-end close process.
• Design, implement, and maintain cost accounting systems, processes, and controls (e.g., perpetual inventory, standard costing).
• Analyze Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), variances (material, labor), inventory valuation, and profitability, supporting month-end close and budgeting.
• Assist in developing production budgets and forecasts, performing cost trend analysis.
• Work closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Operations to cost new products and improve efficiency.
• Manage, train, and supervise cost accounting staff.
• Identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve overall profitability.
• Performs regular cycle counts to correct inventory misstatements.
• Monthly reconciliation and updating of standard costs to actual costs

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• 7 years of cost accounting experience preferably in the manufacturing/consumer packaged good business
• 4 years management or supervisory experience
• Thorough knowledge of cost accounting principles, systems and procedures
