Accounting Associate

Location: Central Coast, CA – 5 days onsite
Salary: $25–$28/hr
Reports To: Controller
ERP/Systems: Navision, QuickBooks

About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Associate to support our finance team on a critical project with the Controller. This temporary role focuses on closing out the subsidiary company’s books and ensuring month-end reporting is accurate and complete. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with agricultural industry accounting experience to work closely with senior leadership on high-impact financial processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with invoicing, billing, and Accounts Payable processing, including POs and ACH payments
• Prepare journal entries and assist with month-end close
• Process bank reconciliations and reconcile accounts monthly
• Analyze financial statements for discrepancies and notify the Controller as needed
• Assist with documentation and support for external audits
• Collaborate with the Senior Accounting team to meet month-end deliverables

Minimum Qualifications & Skills (MITS):

• Experience in agriculture accounting, specifically in Accounts Payable and journal entries
• Highly proficient with bank reconciliations
• Experience assisting with month-end close and preparing journal entries
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proficiency with Navision and/or QuickBooks
