Financial Analyst
Overview
A dynamic opportunity for a Financial Analyst to support financial operations and strategy under the direction of the Controller. This role involves analyzing financial data, preparing reports, assisting with budgeting and forecasting, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The position also includes fixed asset accounting, evaluating capital investments, balance sheet analysis, and supporting internal and external audits.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze financial performance and trends to provide actionable insights.
- Prepare and present reports on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity within financial and operational records.
- Develop and refine financial models to support forecasting and budgeting.
- Assist in the budget preparation process, reviewing proposals and providing supporting analysis.
- Support month-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
- Leverage ERP systems to extract and analyze financial data.
- Collaborate with internal teams to enhance financial processes and reporting efficiency.
- Identify opportunities to streamline financial operations and improve workflow.
- Provide documentation and schedules for audits, ensuring timely and accurate compliance.
- Assist in Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance efforts and maintain required records.
- Handle additional projects and tasks as needed to support departmental goals.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business.
- 2-3 years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, or related roles.
- At least 6 months of progressive experience as a Financial Analyst.
- Strong proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting is a plus.
