We are partnered with a PE backed manufacture and installation service solutions corporation in their search for a Group Controller to join their headquartered team. As a newly created seat, the Group Controller will be a strategic partner to the executive team, and actively supporting multiple acquisitions annually (10+) and heavily focused on the consolidations piece. The ideal Corporate Controller must be ok with being an acting management figure, taking on acquired operations company (OpCo) and assisting with their integration post-acquisition. The Group Controller must be capable of owning all corporate accounting operations and financial close process, maintaining accurate financials, internal/external reporting, detailed financial analysis and integration of acquired organizations and related accounting systems. As a growing HoldCo, the ideal candidate must be comfortable in a very hands-on position, dedicated to the building of and on-going management of the corporate accounting and financial functions.

This position is fully remote but requires extensive travel.

Responsibilities:

• Leading the consolidation of the books across a company
• Spearhead the accounting on-boarding of new companies and implementing consistent accounting policy
• Experience of managing teams at various levels, including regional pods and OpCo accounting teams
• Applying GAAP standards, complex accounting pronouncements, including ASC 805 (business combinations) to a business growing organically and via acquisition
• M&A Accounting and experience of the financial standup of acquired businesses

Requirements:

• Must be OK with frequent travel
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
• CPA or working towards CPA certification
• 10+ years of progressive experience in manufacture, industrial services, engineering or professional services related industries
• Management of all accounting operations and financial closes, financial reporting and analysis
• Direct management over multiple accounting and finance departments (regional and acquired businesses)
• M&A Accounting and post-sale integration of organizations and systems, all related consolidations, and creation and implementation of processes and procedures
