Looking to join a stable, rapidly growing company? A premier investment firm based in the heart of the Wilshire District of Los Angeles is seeking an Accounting Manager on a direct hire basis to join their growing team. The Accounting Manager will be a key player in their accounting and finance division. The company is offering a competitive salary between $130k-$160k+ high BONUS!

The Accounting Manager will oversee the day-to-day accounting operations and be responsible for the accurate preparation of financial statements, reporting, and compliance within the investment firm. You will work closely with senior leadership, investment teams, and other departments to support financial operations and ensure adherence to internal controls, regulatory requirements, and best practices.

This role requires a strong background in financial services and the ability to work in a fast-paced, growing environment. Experience in accounting for investment companies or financial institutions is preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee all accounting activities, including the preparation and review of financial statements, general ledger maintenance, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
  • Prepare and review financial reports, forecasts, and variance analysis to ensure accurate financial data for senior management.
  • Coordinate month-end and year-end closing processes and audit preparation.
  • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard the company's assets.
  • Prepare tax filings and collaborate with external auditors during the audit process.
  • Oversee and mentor junior accounting staff to support their professional development.
  • Collaborate with the investment team to manage and track portfolio performance, valuations, and capital transactions.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets, cash flow projections, and capital allocations.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement efficiencies in accounting systems and workflows.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in the financial services or investment industry.
  • CPA certification preferred, but not required.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements within the investment sector.
  • Proven experience with financial statement preparation, analysis, and reporting.
  • Advanced proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
