As we expand, we’re seeking an experienced Accounts Payable (AP) Manager to lead and optimize our AP processes while ensuring accuracy and efficiency in our financial operations.
Position Overview:
The AP Manager will oversee the accounts payable function, manage vendor relationships, and lead a small team to ensure timely and accurate processing of payments. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of supervisory experience, a deep understanding of AP processes, and thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the full-cycle accounts payable process, including invoice processing, payment execution, and vendor management.
- Supervise and mentor the AP team, providing training, guidance, and performance feedback.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments while maintaining compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce errors within the AP function.
- Manage vendor relationships, addressing inquiries, and resolving payment discrepancies promptly.
- Oversee month-end and year-end AP closing activities, including account reconciliations and reporting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, finance, and accounting, to align AP processes with company objectives.
- Maintain and enforce internal controls to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
- 7+ years of accounts payable experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Strong understanding of AP processes, procedures, and best practices.
- Experience in e-commerce, retail, or a fast-growing industry is a plus.
- Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems (NetSuite experience preferred).
- Advanced Excel skills and the ability to analyze and interpret data.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
