They are seeking a Billing Manager to oversee and optimize our billing and invoicing processes, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and manage a global team to ensure operational excellence.
Position Overview
The Billing Manager will play a key role in leading the company’s billing and invoicing functions while ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. This position requires a hands-on leader with strong analytical skills, experience managing offshore teams, and a focus on process improvement. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience in healthcare billing, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full cycle billing process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Oversee invoicing operations and monitor accounts receivable to drive timely collections.
- Collaborate with finance and revenue cycle teams to improve billing efficiency.
- Define, track, and report key performance indicators (KPIs) for billing accuracy, claim submissions, and revenue cycle efficiency.
- Implement data-driven strategies to optimize billing workflows and reduce denials.
- Conduct regular audits and reconciliations to ensure financial integrity.
- Supervise and mentor a team of billing professionals, including an overseas team.
- Provide training and process documentation to maintain consistency across teams.
- Act as an escalation point for complex billing issues, ensuring timely resolution.
- Identify opportunities for automation and process enhancements to streamline operations.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and industry-specific billing regulations.
- Partner with IT and finance teams to enhance billing system functionality.
Qualifications & Skills
- 5+ years in healthcare billing, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
- Strong understanding of healthcare billing processes, insurance claims, and revenue cycle management.
- Proven ability to manage teams, including offshore staff, and collaborate cross-functionally.
