Our client, a renowned billion-dollar distribution company, is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their growing finance team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with 2 years of experience, preferably with a background in public accounting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with month-end close activities, including preparing and posting journal entries.
- Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Analyze financial data and assist in variance analysis.
- Support the preparation of financial statements and reports.
- Assist with audit preparation and work with external auditors as needed.
- Maintain and improve accounting processes to drive efficiency and accuracy.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure financial integrity.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in public accounting.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with ERP systems.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
