A growing CPA firm is seeking an Enrolled Agent (EA) to join their dynamic firm on a hybrid/ REMOTE basis. The Enrolled Agent (EA) will play a key role in providing expert tax services to individual and business clients. The Enrolled Agent (EA) will be responsible for tax preparation, IRS representation, and ensuring compliance with tax laws. Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, businesses, and trusts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations.
  • Advise clients on tax planning strategies, deductions, credits, and other tax-related matters to
  • Stay updated on the latest tax laws and regulations.
  • Research complex tax issues and provide guidance to clients regarding changes in tax legislation.
  • Assist in creating tax planning strategies for clients based on their financial goals and business objectives.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of client tax returns, correspondence, and other related documents.
  • Work closely with other members of the CPA team to ensure high-quality service delivery and resolution of client issues.
  • Stay informed about changes in tax law through continuing education opportunities to maintain EA certification.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a licensed Enrolled Agent (EA) with the IRS.
  • At least three years of tax preparation and/or tax advisory experience, preferably within a public accounting or CPA firm.
  • Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax laws, tax codes, and IRS regulations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax matters to clients clearly and effectively.
  • Ability to ensure accuracy and compliance in tax filings and documentation.
  • Strong client service orientation with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
