A large, national engineering corporation is seeking a Finance Manager on a direct hire basis. The Finance Manager will oversee all financial aspects of the company, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis. This role will work closely with senior leadership and various departments to ensure financial operations are aligned with corporate goals. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership abilities, financial expertise, and experience in an engineering, manufacturing, or construction environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support business decision-making and strategy development.
- Analyze financial performance across departments, identifying trends, variances, and opportunities for cost optimization and revenue growth.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to develop financial models, strategic plans, and investment decisions for future business expansion and growth.
- Monitor and enforce internal controls, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Supervise and mentor a team of finance professionals, ensuring the team is performing efficiently and in alignment with business objectives.
- Provide in-depth financial analysis for capital expenditures, projects, and product profitability, ensuring the company’s resources are used effectively.
- Lead financial forecasting and budgeting processes, providing updates and recommendations based on variances and future trends.
- Coordinate and liaise with external auditors during annual audits to ensure compliance and accurate financial reporting.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key internal stakeholders (operations, engineering, procurement) to provide financial insights and support for departmental goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
- Minimum of four years of experience in finance and/or accounting.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting.
- Proficiency with financial software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite), and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience in managing budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis for large projects or operations.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Strong communication skills.
- Proven leadership and team management skills, with experience in mentoring and developing finance teams.
