Technical Sales Assistant | Houston, TX

Join a dynamic team in the specialty oil industry, supporting business development and technical operations. This role is ideal for someone with a science background (chemistry preferred) and a strong interest in product formulation and chemical composition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical and administrative support to the Business Development and Technical Manager.
  • Assist with product development and market research to promote specialty oils across industries (skincare, pharma, mineral oil, etc.).
  • Coordinate and support industry conferences, including logistics, supplier interactions, and booth setup.
  • Organize client meetings and assist with presentations.
  • Maintain strong organizational skills for seamless execution of tasks.
  • Travel occasionally (10-15%) within and outside the U.S.

Ideal Candidate:

  • 1-3 years of experience in a technical or administrative role.
  • Science background with an interest in formulations and chemical compositions.
  • Professional, mature, and independent with excellent organizational skills.
  • Comfortable interacting with suppliers and clients in a business setting.
  • Strong multitasking abilities—no sales targets but must handle multiple priorities efficiently.

Salary: $60-65K base + performance-based bonus
Location: Houston, TX (Hybrid: 3 days in office, 2 days WFH)
Reporting to: Business Development Manager

Bonus eligibility after 8 months, based on performance.
