Our client, a rapidly growing healthcare company in Mesa, AZ, is seeking an experienced Controller to lead and scale their accounting function. This is a pivotal role for an ambitious financial leader who will drive operational efficiency, enhance processes and technology, and serve as the right hand to the CFO during a period of significant expansion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the company’s accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal controls
- Lead the month-end close, consolidations, and financial statement preparation
- Implement process improvements to drive efficiency and accuracy
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and healthcare industry standards
- Manage audit processes and external relationships with auditors and financial institutions
- Partner cross-functionally with leadership to support strategic decision-making
Qualifications:
- CPA required
- 8+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Mix of public accounting (Big 4 or large regional firm) and private industry experience
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls
- Experience working in a scaling, fast-paced environment preferred
- Healthcare industry experience is a plus
