As a Revenue Accountant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our financial records and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. You will collaborate with various departments to provide accurate financial reporting and contribute to the overall success of our organization. This position requires a strong background in accounting, particularly within the insurance sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and budgets.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of month-end and year-end close processes.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Conduct reconciliations of bank statements and general ledger accounts.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and compliance documentation.
- Monitor financial transactions and ensure accuracy in reporting.
- Collaborate with internal teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
- Assist in audits by preparing documentation and answering inquiries.
- Stay current with industry regulations and accounting standards related to the insurance sector.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in the insurance industry.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- CPA certification is a plus but not required.
