Looking for a Senior Accountant role with a dynamic media company? We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Accountant specializing in Financial Reporting to join a dynamic finance team. Headquartered in Northeast, they are dedicated to delivering exceptional value to their clients, while maintaining the highest standards of financial transparency and accountability. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in financial accounting, reporting, and analysis, with a proven track record of ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP and company policies.
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial results to management, investors, and regulatory authorities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data and support decision-making processes.
  • Assist in the implementation and adoption of new accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead the preparation and filing of external financial reports, including SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q, etc.).
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors during financial audits, providing documentation and support as needed.
  • Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
  • Evaluate and enhance financial reporting processes and controls to optimize efficiency and accuracy.
  • Stay abreast of developments in accounting standards and regulations, ensuring compliance and best practices.
  • Mentor and train junior staff members, fostering their professional growth and development.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA designation preferred.
  • 2+ years of progressive experience in financial reporting, preferably in a public company or Big 4 accounting firm.
  • Thorough understanding of US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis, modeling, and reporting tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel, ERP systems).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Proven leadership abilities, with experience in supervising and mentoring junior staff members.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
